Egg Decorating Fun

One of my dearest friends in Washington, DC had an egg decorating party around this time last year. I’m missing her right now, thinking about the fun we had with glitter. Here are some ideas to help us run circles around the competition!

Gorgeous Florida Wedding

It’s no secret I’m a Florida girl, and I treat weddings from my home state accordingly; always interested, but judge harshly. But this wedding {and about an hour from the location of my own wedding} is perfect. From the floating dress and chevron invitation to the dining tables– every detail is beautiful and modern.  {via 100 Layer Cake}

Farmers Market Flowers: 2 More Ways

Day 3– and final– of my adventure in floral design. Yesterday I decided that I preferred the single bloom look, especially with the black and white polka dots. So I today I’m combining those elements to come up with  2 new looks.

First up, I used a straight sided bowl (also from Jamali), with the polka dots showing through the water. It looks very serene, doesn’t it?

Then, I tried covering with the cloche — and it went from calm to centerpiece worthy.  Don’t you think?

I hope that you enjoyed my experiments in flower design as much as I did! Maybe it even spiked some inspiration in you! ;)

Happy Friday!

Are you ready for the weekend? I sure am– even though I have to work, it’s much needed.

I am loving this cheerful color combination. Sometimes the days you need color the most are the days you feeling it the least. Wearing bright colors can beat back the worst moods. At least for me. {via Color Collective}

Color Inspiration: Peacock

I’ve always loved peacocks. When my husband talks about living in the county {he wants to have chickens}, I imagine a county estate with peacocks…hey, he has his dream, I have mine!

I’m drawn to the colors found in the eye of the feather are helping me bridge the winter and spring seasons. The darker navy and the bright turquoise are becoming the go-to choice in my closet. Maybe I’ll add a little green or purple when I’m feeling a little funky.

What do you think? Would you wear this look? xoxo

Origami Bunnies

I’m feeling like I haven’t quite recovered from my crazy event weekend {the one before last}. I’m still working on the pictures from those parties and haven’t managed to get them up {even though I am dying to share!}. So I hope you will bare with me through my post event trauma, that has me eating tons of m&ms…

Which is why I’m loving these cute and light folded paper rabbits. So sweet. And their little tails? Adorable. {via dandee}

Bunny Cookies

I love these sophisticated animal cookies. Perfect for Easter, spring, or a Peter Rabbit party.

Get the cookie cutters or buy them pre-decorated here.
