I love the idea of comfy clothes, mimosas and yummy breakfast food. It could only be better if it followed a sleepover and girl talk! Wouldn’t this be a great theme for a bachelorette party? {via Camille Styles}

This week’s question comes from Mary in Los Angeles.
Hi Sara,
I hope you’re doing well. I’m planning a Christmas Brunch this Sunday and as an activity I will have a craft table where the guest will be able to make their own gift tags– I’ll send you pictures! Where could I also find templates for food labels and other items for a holiday party?
Thanks!
Mary
Hi Mary,
Sounds like a fun party! I wish I could join you.
I found a few different sign packages to give your party a design feel. The first 2 are quite complete– the last one just includes a few pieces, but was too cute to forget. And, of course, they are all free!
I hope this helps– and good luck on Sunday!
xoxo

I don’t know about you, but I will get addicted to a drink for awhile, and want to have to all the time {you know, whenever alcoholic drinks are acceptable.} I’ll want to share it with my friends and try to make my favorite drink their favorite drink, too. And why not? I have good taste!
That’s why I love this idea by Every Girl to style a party and menu for three different events around virtual the same drink– cocktails, brunch, and girls night in. I’d go to all of these shindigs! {via The Every Girl}
This brunch starter was granola, yogurt and roasted plum topped with coconut and a drizzle of homemade Orange Blossom Agave. Check out the recipe at Sunday Supper. I also thought figs could be yummy here.
Even though we were all too busy to read the book, my book club got together this weekend. We met at a restaurant (which was perfect, actually) but our gathering inspired this casual breakfast menu.
I, sadly, won’t be with my mother this Sunday, but for those of that are luckier than I, Oh Happy Day came up with an adorable printable to spruce up the breakfast tray. It’s cute and simple– and even your kids could do it (hint, hint)!

I usually post recipes on Fridays, but with Easter this weekend I thought I would post some downloadable fun instead! I love this Easter Brunch–which could be used for any spring party. Scroll down for invites, masks and place cards.

Have a good weekend! My mom’s in town this weekend so we will be out and about this weekend. How about you? xoxo
I love pancakes. All kinds. Chocolate chip, apple, sweet potato… and pumpkin. If these specialty pancakes are on the menu, I will order them– or ask my husband to make them. Even for dinner. With all of these snow days, it sounds really nice to cozy up at home and make some yummy pumpkin pancakes with maple whip. Or what about a brunch party?
Gluten-Free Pumpkin Pancakes with Maple Whip
You can make the maple whip beforehand and store it in the refrigerator.
For the Maple Whip:
8 oz organic heavy whipping cream
2 Tablespoons maple syrup
In a large bowl using a wire whisk whip the cream until the peaks are soft, then add the maple syrup (you can add more to taste) and whip for a few more strokes. Set aside to serve with the pancakes.
Now for the pancakes:
1 egg
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 Tbsp melted butter
1/2 cup of pureed pumpkin
1 cup Bob’s Red Mill All Purpose GF Baking Flour (made of, garbanzo flour, potato starch, tapioca flour, sorghum flour and fava flour)
1/4 cup Buckwheat flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
2 pinches of nutmeg
Pour 1 cup of organic whole milk
In a mixing bowl whisk together the egg, sugar, and vanilla, until foamy. Add the melted butter and pureed pumpkin and stir together.
Sift together the flours, baking powder, and spices then add them to the pumpkin mixture. Pour the milk over the mixture and whisk together just until it’s smooth.
Heat a frying pan over medium heat (I use a cast iron skillet), and lay a pat of butter in the middle. Once the butter has melted and sizzles you can pour some batter into the pan with a 1/3 cup measuring cup, or small tea cup. Let cook on one side until you see bubbles form and pop in the pancake batter, then flip over with a spatula. The second side takes half as long to cook. Make sure to arrange pancakes on top of another on a serving plate after they come off the pan so that they can keep each other warm until they are all cooked. Serve immediately with maple syrup and maple whip.
Some very old and dear friends visited the city this weekend, so we invited them over for brunch. My husband, the chef, made a great meal and I decorated with what we had around the house. We had a great time– and I think things looked pretty festive!
Here are the place settings:

Now the food! Yum- donut muffins served with horchata.
Then a sausage, fennel and sun-dried tomato crostata with egg. It was really good!
It’s making me hungry just looking at it!
