To be honest, I have a bit of love/hate relationship with this color. But right now I’m into. My two shirts in this color are getting worn out.

You guys know how I am inspired by color, from parties to art, clothes to decorating. Here are some of my favorite combinations this month. I love the mix of bright and muted, dark and light. Perfect for this mixed weather month.
March is a wonderfully tricky month that is somewhere between winter and spring, and the length of the transition varies from year to year. So I am loving these slightly muted takes on bright color combinations to ease into the warmer and (hopefully!) sunnier months to come.

I love these ideas to help you say just what you want on your big day.
A quilt embroidered with the vows of the ceremony.
Gold table numbers.
One of my favorite clients is working on a birthday party for her little girl. She told me the colors and the theme– Pink Power Ranger. I need to do some research on this character, but I was so inspired by the color scheme of pink, gold, black and white that I started with a mood board. I’m still working on adding in the Power Ranger, but this inspiration was too pretty not to share.
Wouldn’t these polka dots be a great backdrop for food?
I love the pale pink candy bar here with black accents.
More polka dots, and color appropriate cakesters.
Hot pink and gold wrapping.
I love how the runner here matches the Power Range belt. With black chevron? Get out of here!
Cute black and white straws.
Awesome striped table cloths. Oh yeah.
I love these invites— and the gold and pink tinsel back drop. I’d love to see some ninja poses in front of that!
Remember Steel Magnolia‘s Shelby attest that blush and bashful are her colors? Well, that is how I feel about green. I started my love affair with emerald jewelry {my grandmother gave me an emerald necklace for my 18th birthday that I still have} and grew to love most colors on the green spectrum. Kate Spade and CB2 are some of my favorite brands, because of their amazing use of my favorite color. Sure, I love turquoise and purple, and many other jewels tones– but my heart always belongs to green. I’m so excited that emerald is the color of the year. I can’t wait to see the inspirations, parties, and products to come!

If anything can equal my love of bright, saturated colors it’s stark modern black and white. Both palettes leave a statement, and the bolder the better, in my book. The only question left is: which one to chose?

I’m loving these bright and fun, yet season appropriate, colors.

These origami wonders are in a showroom, but can you imagine them at a wedding in a white loft? How cool would they be, flying above the bride? Or showing the way from one room to the next? {via Plenty of Color}
As summer turns into fall, colors are a daily battle in my wardrobe, with cooler tones invading. One day soon I’m going to put away my summer brights and take out my winter essentials…maybe.
