Herby Drinks

With this warmer that seems here to stay, I’m craving refreshing drinks. This lavender mojito and this basil lemonade would quench my thirst and be yummy.

Lavender Mojito (makes one drink)
8-10 mint leaves
1 oz lavender simple syrup (recipe here)
1 oz white rum
1/2 of a lime’s juice

Muddle mint leaves and simple syrup together. Add the rum, lime and lots of ice and shake. Pour everything into a mason jar and top with club soda. Stir again to mix it all together.{Images and recipe from Sugar and Charm}

Garland Isn’t Just for Christmas

I’m working on some decor ideas for my Baltimore bride- the ethereal wedding. I’m loving garland– it’s so natural and flowing. Perfect for an organic wedding.

This green organic wreath is beautiful– easily transferable to a garland.

This one is a little big, but I like seeing it wrapped around the banister.

This sweet garland on a cake is perfect.

This arch way is so wild and beautiful.

This wild flower garland is gorgeous. And there is a DIY.

What do you guys think? Are you as obsessed as I am? Any other ideas? xoxo

Make Some Butter and Break Some Ice

I mentioned my friend Liza, who likes to make everything from scratch, including her own butter. So when I saw this idea of having your guests help make the butter, I thought it was a great way to get them involved with her cause.

Just put some cream, salt and marbles in a jar and pass it around. Everyone can participate in shaking the jar, passing the burden around and getting to know each other. Then everyone gets to enjoy the freshly made butter (hopefully with some freshly made bread!).

I love it!
