This is an awesome visual tool to help with wedding planning, especially if you are going custom. Of course if you don’t have the luxury of a year, don’t fret— it can be smushed down. But this would certainly be the ideal, with the “oh crap!” time that I always like to build in, just in case. {via Crafty Pie Press}

Pink, Gold, Black & White
One of my favorite clients is working on a birthday party for her little girl. She told me the colors and the theme– Pink Power Ranger. I need to do some research on this character, but I was so inspired by the color scheme of pink, gold, black and white that I started with a mood board. I’m still working on adding in the Power Ranger, but this inspiration was too pretty not to share.
Wouldn’t these polka dots be a great backdrop for food?
I love the pale pink candy bar here with black accents.
More polka dots, and color appropriate cakesters.
Hot pink and gold wrapping.
I love how the runner here matches the Power Range belt. With black chevron? Get out of here!
Cute black and white straws.
Awesome striped table cloths. Oh yeah.
I love these invites— and the gold and pink tinsel back drop. I’d love to see some ninja poses in front of that!
60th Anniversary DIY Invites
My awesome friend Liza {from Scratch, now Scratch Journal} made these awesome invites for her grandparents party in Belgium. She did them all by hand and with simple tools. Amazing, right?

Planning Ahead…Holiday Invites
If you are like me, you are already thinking about which weekend to host a holiday party.. or not (but probably, yeah). So even though I am trying not to rush the season and think too much about Christmas before Thanksgiving, a girl’s gotta plan ahead. These invites have me thinking–
I love this invite based on a champagne label. So festive!
These hot chocolate invites with plaid are so cute– and a free printable! Bonus!
Or, if going the green route, what about these cute ones from Paperless Posts new holiday line:
Which is your favorite? I can’t decide!

Red Poppy Baby Shower
A friend of ours in Los Angeles is pregnant with a little girl, due this spring. She has taken to calling her little one “poppy.” So my mother -in-law, who is throwing her a baby shower, came up with the idea of theming the event around this name. How cute! So I put together some ideas to get her started.
I am loving these invites on Etsy– and they are only $15 for the jpeg. Sure, you have to print them out, but hopefully you can use the design for food labels, etc.
How cute would be it be to make little red poppy pins for everyone to wear? (I also saw some made from cupcake liners).
And this merimekko fabric could make great runners.
I love this poppy dessert table. (This wedding has some cute ideas with the poppy theme! You know I like the pinwheels!)
And these (as poppies, not butterflies, handmade made from red paper,) on a light blue wall (of wrapping paper or tissue paper) could be a great photo wall, or behind the dessert table.
These sweet poppy prints come framed and are only $10– a quick way to decorate!
Either of these (with poppies) would be cute centerpieces. (source: buckets and full red bowl)
And for favors, here are some coasters or tea towels (C and I might be able to make the tea towels with our new yudu!)
I didn’t spend a lot of time on food (I know my mother in law is good at that!), but I thought poppy seed muffins would be cute. And this cake is beautiful– if only the poppies were red!
What do you think? I can’t wait to see how the shower turns out!
Fashion Week Invites
I love creative industries– they come up with such fun ideas. Here are some of the top Fashion Week Invites– and see even more here.
Leifsdottir– it’s a ribbon and a slap bracelet.
Rachel Antonoff— I love the fabric tent.
Tommy Hilfiger– a little garden behind Plexiglas.
Honor— who doesn’t love macaroons?
Parkchoonmoo– talk about doing a lot with a little!
Hope you all have a great weekend! xoxo
Pennant Invites
No matter what you call them– pennants, bunting or flags, these invites that turn into decoration are too cute. Just ask guests to bring the invite with them to the party!
DIY Stamps
I love it when I am able to make something happen with just the items I have at home. It makes me feel efficient –and eco-conscious.
So I was excited to see a tutorial on making stamps with pencil erasers! And it doesn’t hurt that she stamped banners–you guys know I am loving those right now!
Step 1: Using a fine-tip permanent pen create a triangle on the eraser tip. Try to use as much of the space as possible.
Step 2: Using your craft knife cut straight down along each side of your triangle outline until your blade meets the metal portion of your pencil. Please use extreme caution during this step. I really don’t want anyone to cut themselves on my account. Remove the three pieces that surrounded your triangle shape to leave the triangle stamp exposed.
Steps 3: If you will be using multiple colors of stamp ink, you will want to cut enough eraser stamps so each color has it’s own.
Step 4: Begin stamping. Press your eraser down firmly in the stamp ink and then stamp design onto your tags in a pattern that you like. Erasers can break with too much pressure, so practice different levels of pressure until you find the amount that feels right to you.
You can be creative with these tiny stamps, from invitations to cards, gift tags to wrapping paper!
Have fun! And Happy Friday!! xoxo
