Happy Valentine’s Day!

We just got back from a Chinese New Year trip so I’m feeling a little behind in getting things together for my loved ones.

After a couple of days away reconnecting with my husband, it reminded me of how much fun we have together and how bright and wonderful he makes my life. He is so kind and thoughtful and always makes sure I have everything I need. And what kind of husband moves half way across the world to make sure his wife can follow her dreams? An incredible one, for sure.

So, baby, this post is for you. Thank you for being the amazing man that you are and for loving me. I can’t wait to figure out this new life with you. This day seems like the perfect opportunity to tell you that I appreciate you each and every day. I love you more than you know.

I hope you all have a wonderful, love-filled day! xoxo

Heart Love

I have some party ideas I want to share with you {a couple of baby showers and a little girl’s birthday} but they haven’t made it out of my head yet. So instead I’m sharing a bit of Valentine’s Day inspiration. I hope you feel the love all way from Hong Kong!

My Sweet Love

Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you are all enjoying a day surrounded by love and affection.

Here’s the little Valentine’s gift I gave to my hubby this morning…. a jar full of reasons that I love him (and it’s not exhaustive!). (Did I tell you what he did last year? He sent me off for a massage while he cooked an amazing dinner. Incredible.)

I started with heart paper and filled it out with all of the reasons my husband is the best.

Then cut the paper into strips and rolled them up.

Here they are, filling up the jar!

Then I wrote on the jar what is inside–

Then I wrapped it up all cute. Let’s hope he loves it– and knows that he really is the best husband around. Definitely a keeper. :)

Wishing you all a warm and loving day! xoxo

V-Day Goodies

I hope no one from work is looking at this– yet!

Here’s what I plan to bring into the office to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my colleagues.

I found this yummy recipe in Living for Cherry Chocolate Chunk Cookies.  (I might even make 2 batches, and save the other for Book Club next week).

And I found this adorable printable on Twig & Thistle from last year for lunch bags (I hope it looks at cute on brown!).

I think it will look cute– at least cute enough so the girls in my office on a diet don’t hate me!

What do you all think?

Un-Valentine’s Day

Rather than fight the crowds on Valentine’s Day, I am thinking of this sweet idea from Eat Drink Chic— a couch party with your loved one, including love notes.

Because, really– what else do I need?  And it’s a DIY printable– my favorite! It comes with all of these fun things:

I Love It!

What are your plans for Valentine’s Day? Are you going out– or staying in?
